PGL - Year 6 Residential Day 1!
News / June 21st 2023
We have arrived safely at PGL!
The students and staff we're so excited to get to PGL and to being a day of fun activities. Our children participated in problem solving/team building activities were they had to work together and strategise to find a solution. We were so impressed with how well they listened to each other and how they found simple solutions to complex problems. We also participate in zip-lining! So many of the students overcame their fear during this activity. For some, that was just putting on the harness and working themselves up to stand on the edge of the jump. For others, it was to take the actual leap off the ledge and fly! The students were so helpful and encouraging to students who found this to be a difficult task -- they gave their friends strategies, told them that it was okay, and cheered when students took that leap off the box. It was really inspiring! Our final activity was a 'sports day'-like tournament. Students competed in athletic challenges and continued to work together and cheer each other on.
Our students have made the teachers and school so proud today. They have been respectful, helpful, and courageous. Tomorrow we will have a full day of activities (including Archery Tag and swimming) -- stay tuned for more information.
